Craig

No doubt others will be able to add some info to this as well but to help in getting you started in the meanwhile try this link to help kick you off

http://www.pakula.com.au/BTL/Docs/1003_Outrigger_Setup.html

Cheers Warnie

PS, while on the subject Peter will be doing a promotions night down at the club on Friday 7th november so if you have any questions with anything that you may still be uneasy with
i am sure Peter will be more than happy to answer them for you but i think you will find the link pretty well covers most things. if you get real stuck PM me i could allways come over.
Warnie.

Thanks warnie - rigged and ready to go.

Whilst reasearching I found a lockable pully system that claims to elliminate line creep, see attached link. I am ordering two for Assassin and thought they maybe of interest to other club members. I will wait until after next weekend so if anyone would like to add on and save shipping let me know before then.

Cheers

Craig

HI craig

i assume that u are using these locking pullies at the springer end of the main running
rigger cord do you think they will be an issue knowing half the time one hand is on the reel or feeding line out, and the other
is on the cord pulling the bait out. its seems to me youd need other hand to opperate the braking lever, and the retrieval speed
of the clip would be halfed, they could pentensionaly be a very fustrating item in somthing that surpose to be simple.if you are having problems with clip creeping down try an elastic band around the the two lines at the pully.
but do let me know how u go with the them

Hi Shayne

Just received and fitted the new Hal-Lock pullies, when set in the unlocked position they free spool in both directions so as not to grab the cord, when the lure is set and riggers out you can then lock down the leaver to hold the clip at the top of the rigger. (no line creep). They appear to be working fine on land but obviously the real proof will be on the water, lets hope this fri##*@# wind lets up and we get out next weekend for a fish.

PS: I did get two sets sent out and really don't need the second, if anyone wants to try them they cost me $50.00 au plus $5.00 post per set. Just give me a call 0414 228812 or send me a PM.

Cheers

Craig.
