Hi all,

My name is Scott and I have just joined SGFC. Whilst I have been gamefishing for 20 odd years I have, after quite a long absence, only recently got back into it. I have registered my own boat with the club, which is a 29' Gulfstar (which most of you probably haven't heard) of called "Inner Sea". I will eventually get a picture of it onto the website as soon as I work out how???

I look forward to meeting you all down at the club for a beer and to swap some stories.

Cheers
Scott

Welcome [back] Scott!

You should have a good time out there in the Gulfstar.  From memory the hull heritage was the 28' Savage.

Tell me, did Mr Sipthorp choose your cover colours?  Looks like the ones on the old Stefmay.

There is another 29' Gulfstar parked at the RMYC Rose Bay on the mooring next to mine, and that has gone pretty well over the years.  Blue covers though!

Cheers,

Bob.

Hi Bob,

I do have fond memories of Stefmay and have know the Sipthorps for quite a while. I'm sure Shane won't mind me saying that it is entirely his fault that I now drink bourbon !!!

The colour of the covers is sheer coincidence but I guess I just want to stick out in the crowd.

I have seen the other Gulfstar and judging by the one and only day we had it out last year I know my boat will raise fish - we went 3,2,0 - entirely my fault we stuffed it up on the day!!!

I'm certainly looking forward to a good season.

Cheers

Hey Scott,

If my memory serves me well it was on Schoolies week in Port Stephens (1989) that you taught me "not" to drink Bourban,

See ya round the club and all the best for a good season!

Cheers
Shane
